How Dare She!

I'm not an Oprah-watcher myself... but thanks to Kristy, I have an up-to-date report that Oprah has officially called me out (I mean, not by name, but you know... close enough).

She claims THIS is the best turkey burger ever! And to that, I say... Them's fightin' words! GAME ON!

A taste test is certainly called for... can her turkey burgers from Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump's private club in Palm Beach possibly be as good as Christie's? You can bet the next time ground turkey is on sale (usually $1.99/lb), I will be giving her recipe a try. Let me know if any of you venture into Trump-land with Oprah's recommendation...

This is WAR!!!

  1. hahaha - i bet you will win for shiz...

try it with my "Cabbage Crunch" (a vinegar slaw I got from Laura's mom) with it - delish... (thanks for the comment on the blog, btw)

    CABBAGE CRUNCH:
    1 pkg shredded cabbage
    1 pkg sliced almonds
    1 bunch green onions, chopped
1 pkg chicken flavor raman noodles, crushed (reserve seasoning)
2-3 T sesame seeds (toasted if ya like)
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp pepper
chicken raman seasoning (1/2-whole pkg depending on what you like)

    combine all and toss...

    dressing:
    1/2 c oil
    3-4 T apple cider vinegar
    2-3 T sugar

dress crunch and serve immediately - it's good after a night in the fridge, too...

    * NOTE: - This is Dave's favorite thing to eat on the planet. i often double the salad and use the single dressing and we'll eat it for days...i've also tried it with brocolli slaw - it's ok but not quite as tasty!

    enjoy...em

Definitely let me know how this burger turns out! I'm anxious to try it too!

Hey, if it's that great, maybe she'll give them away on her next "favorite things" episode? How can we get in that audience? (Seriously, I've been dying to know for years)
